Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

By accessing or using JobPulse AI ("JobPulse" or "the service"), you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement and use employment services in your location. If you use JobPulse for a company, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that company.

2. What JobPulse provides

Job Pulse AI provides job-search tools, CV-based matching and drafting assistance, job tracking, interview practice, browser-based audio/video interview calls, alerts while the app is open, recruiter-posted listings, and in-platform applications for those listings. Features and external job sources may change or be unavailable. JobPulse is not an employer, does not make hiring decisions, and does not guarantee a job, interview, application response, or employment outcome.

3. Accounts and security

You may sign in with Google or email/password. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not create accounts for other people without authority or attempt to access another user's account or records.

4. Candidate responsibilities

• Keep your profile, CV, applications, and messages accurate and lawful. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated match explanations, CV suggestions, cover letters, and interview prompts before relying on or submitting them.
• AI results are suggestions based on the information provided, can be incomplete or incorrect, and are not professional, legal, immigration, or hiring advice.
• Before applying to a recruiter listing, you must explicitly consent to sharing your name, sign-in email, and optional message with that listing's owner. The application is visible to you and that recruiter through JobPulse. You may withdraw it through your account while it remains available.
• Camera and microphone access is optional. Your browser requests access only when you enable calls. You must accept an incoming call before your audio/video is sent. Calls use PeerJS signaling and WebRTC; do not join a call or share media unless you are comfortable communicating with the recruiter for that application.
• Do not upload information you are not entitled to provide or include sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for the requested analysis.

5. Recruiter responsibilities

• Provide truthful, complete, current listings and accurate company information. You are responsible for ensuring your listing and hiring process comply with employment, privacy, anti-discrimination, consumer-protection, and other applicable laws.
• Do not post fraudulent, discriminatory, misleading, unlawful, or unauthorized content; request application, registration, training, or placement fees deceptively; or use JobPulse to collect information for unrelated purposes.
• Use applicant name, email, and message only to assess and manage the relevant application. Keep those details confidential, restrict access to people involved in hiring, and do not sell, publish, or use them for unrelated marketing.
• You are responsible for reviewing applications and communicating with candidates. JobPulse does not arrange interviews or guarantee candidate availability or suitability.

6. Applications and account deletion

JobPulse processes applications through authenticated server functions. Applicants can withdraw an application; recruiters can update its status for their own listing. Application and alert records are scheduled for Firestore TTL cleanup, generally 90 days after the related listing expires for applications and 90 days after creation for alerts. TTL deletion is asynchronous and may not happen at the exact expiration time.

You may request account deletion from your profile. JobPulse removes associated account and application data and deletes the Firebase login when the request completes. Paid recruiter listings that are still within their 30-day term may remain publicly visible until expiry, but applications to those listings are closed. PayPal transaction records are retained independently by PayPal. If an account deletion request reports an error, follow the instructions shown in the app and retry.

7. Recruiter listing fees and payments

The checkout displays the listing tier, price, and term before payment. Current examples are a standard listing for $15 USD and a featured listing for $40 USD, each for 30 days; the checkout is the final source for the price and offer presented to you. Listings do not renew automatically; a new checkout is required for another term. Payment processing is provided by PayPal. JobPulse does not store full card details or PayPal credentials. PayPal's terms govern your payment account and transaction records.

A listing is published only after the server verifies the PayPal order and captured amount. Contact Job Pulse AI for billing questions through the Contact Us form. Any refund rights provided by law remain unaffected.

8. Acceptable use

Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, scrape or harvest personal information, upload malware, misrepresent identity, infringe rights, abuse external providers, or use JobPulse for unlawful or harmful purposes. We may investigate suspected misuse, restrict access, remove listings, or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or legal rights.

9. Third-party services and external listings

JobPulse connects to third-party providers, including Firebase, Gemini, Cloudflare, PayPal, analytics/advertising services, and job-search sources. External job listings and websites are operated by others. Their content, availability, privacy practices, and terms are outside JobPulse's control. Your use of a third-party service is subject to that provider's terms.

10. Content and intellectual property

JobPulse and its software, branding, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You retain rights in content you submit. You give JobPulse permission to host and process that content only as reasonably needed to provide, maintain, and secure the features you request, subject to the Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the rights needed to submit it.

11. Availability and disclaimers

The service and AI-generated materials are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not warrant that results are accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. You should independently verify listings, employers, application links, match scores, and generated materials. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, JobPulse is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, third-party job listings or services, hiring decisions, or a user's reliance on unverified AI output. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited, including liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or mandatory consumer rights.

13. Changes and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. The courts of South Africa may hear disputes, without limiting rights that cannot lawfully be waived. We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change and will revise the date above.
